Non-Profit organisation, Next Generation Arts is already making a splash for 2011. The community arts initiative recently offered a Creative Design workshop, where 30 youngsters explored the production process from start to finish.This week will see 50 budding young starlets auditioning for the next original musical, to be staged in December this year. An after school club with year 2 pupils in a Harehills Primary school has been running throughout the Summer term. The focus is on improving Literacy skills and helping children access their imaginations more freely. So far they have created space craft, picnicked on Mars, re-written nursery rhymes and interviewed aliens - it would seem their imaginations are being given a great workout.
